The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
First, the group knows exactly where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose death started the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his own means, invading the secret base, striking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then cleared his debts and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, seeks revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the region and advises that it is a dangerous location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the group access areas they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The target is targeted for elimination by the family.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward the northern region in search of Casimir.
